Overview
Irrisept is a wound debridement and cleansing system that contains 0.05% Chlorhexidine Gluconate (CHG) in sterile water for irrigation.
The mechanical action of the Irrisept system removes bacteria and debris without harming underlying tissues. The unique bottle design allows users to control the delivery pressure of the solution through manual bottle compression. Grasping the bottle firmly, the user can control the direction and pressure needed to help remove bacteria, particulate and debris.
Irrisept has successfully completed testing for acute systemic toxicity, cytotoxicity, neurotoxicity, skin irritation and immune allergic response.
The Irrisept System
The Irrisept system includes one 450mL bottle of Irrisept (Step 1; 0.05% CHG in sterile water for irrigation, USP (99.95%)), one 450mL bottle of Irririnse (Step 2; 0.9% Sodium Chloride, USP) and one each of our custom-designed patented applicators (Irriprobe, Splatterguard and LT Splatterguard).
Irrisept is indicated for use on wounds.
Irrigates Without Harming Underlying Tissue
Irrisept is contraindicated for patients with a known CHG allergy.
